I see what you mean. The braillenote uses the standard pop and smtp ports and I'd think Verizon would do that also, but one never really knows without checking in the email program which is working fine apparently. Otherwise she wouldn't be sending us messages. <smile>
If there is something like ssl, or other secured connections involved, one would probably have to either ask someone at VErizon assuming you could find someone who knows what you're talking about, or else look at all the settings in the email program. But, I believe others are also using Verizon on this list, so hopefully it's nothing as complicated as all this security stuff. I've gotten the 10022 message several times on the MPower and one reset or another has always solved it. Even just breaking the wireless connection and starting it up again has cured it for me.
