When I did exactly that, the question about unpacking never came up. I
don't know why, because that used to be exactly how it happened. What I
finally did was to download and install the Unpack Utility on my computer,
unpack the book(s) there, and then transfer them to the BN via the compact
flash card.
I don't know why or how the BN changed, but I couldn't get it to ask me the
question about unpacking the books anywhere, and I couldn't find "Unpack"
on any of the menus.
Thanks for all your advice, though.

You need to open them in the Book Reader to unpack them.
Go to the Book Reader, then pretend to open the file, hit enter on it, and
it will ask for your password, and ask where you want the unpacked book and
if you want to delete the packed one.
Smile. I learned this the hard way one day, when I tried to open one with
keyword, and was told that I wasn't allowed to do that and to use the book
reader.

Subject: [Braillenote] BookShare question?
Dear List,
I am in the habit of downloading BookShare books to a flash card, and then
copying them from the flash card to the My Books folder, or reading them
directly from the card. Now that I have 6.11 however, the Unpack utility
seems not to unpack the books automatically. (The BrailleNote used to say,
"Please wait," there were a series of beeps, I input my BookShare ID, and
the book would unpack.
I cannot seem to get that to happen now.
What am I doing wrong, and what should I do?
It's getting late, and I'm trying to download my daughter's favorite book
to read tomorrow and the next day when I'm traveling.
Thanks for your help.
Penny
