I wish Humanware had taken the opportunity to create a slightly larger keyboard with a little more whitespace between the keys. I feel that the ergonomics of the Voicenote QT do not compare favorably with the PACmate QX. It seems that there is enough surface area on the top of the QT to have expanded the size of that keyboard.

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] impressions of the M-power QT

The keyboard is the same on the MPower qt as that which has been shipping on the older qt units for quite some time now.

Key placement and spacing has not changed at all.

The braille display is the one with the plastic cursor routing buttons which are slightly elongated pointed toward the cell. The older braille display has rubber cursor routing buttons which are round. I believe the newer braille display has been shipping on the newer braille notes for some time as well.

In terms of control placement though, the MPower looks like the older braillenotes except for the layout of the rear pannel plus a small record button and
input jack for an external microphone on the left side.

Thumb keys remain unchanged.

I believe the color is different and also the surface of the case is smoother.

That's about it.

Has anyone seen or placed hands on the new Voicenote M-Power QT? Has the
size or configuration of the QWERTY keyboard changed any from the older
Voicenote QT? Has the key action and space between the keys remained the
same between the older generation and the brand new one? Thanks.
