You want to look on your program cd for the poi files. I got confused with that too.

Hi Don:
I do have the cds, but didn't see any bpi files on them. I'm in Texas, and in the texas south folder, there are 5 files, rmf cty and 3 others, but not bpi. I did have gps 3 before, but somehow all of my poi files were lost, so I've had to recopy them from my flash disc that came with my orriginal gps to my flash disc. Where on the coulds are the correct files for points of interest?
Thanks for your help.
Desiree

Hi Desirie,

When you got your gps, did you get version 3? This is different from version 3.1 which you are probably using now after upgrading your braillenote to keysoft
6.11.

The maps and the .poi files are the same for both version 3 and 3.1 and you should have received a bunch of cd's which contain the maps and also the .poi
files.

If you do have the .poi files, it's possible the gps is looking in the wrong place for these. So, start the gps program, then go into the gps options menu and be surethat when you get to the option for poi files, that the program is looking on the proper drive and in the correct directory where the poi's are located.

In other words, if you received gps v3.1 by email, the assumption is that you already have gps v3.0 installed and simply wish to upgrades. Installing the gps upgrade will not disturb any maps or poi files you may have, but it may disturb the directories names in the options menu for either or both maps and poi's.

If you didn't get the cd's, contact whomever you got the gps from.

I hope this helps.

Don
