Yes, What version of jaws are you using? 1. Go to jaws and install the BN components for the braille display. 2. Make the default is set to BN instead of no display. 3. Make sure the use serial port is unchecked under active sink. 4. cut off jaws. 5. Turn on the BN and hit t for terminal 6. Turn back on jaws and wait for a couple of seconds. 7. Arrow down and up and play on the desk top, the BN should start showing what your computer is doing.
As for Active sink 1. Make sure the serial port is checked 2. Hit get connected on the active sink and on the utilities menu. 3. While its beaping, keep hitting enter on the BN. 4. It should connect, some times it says can't connect but does anyway. Let me know if this works. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Sarah Cranston Sent: Thursday, August 25, 2005 4:59 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Okay, I got most things back, just need help with something Hey Sarai, This is really weird. I'm having the exact opposite problem, the BN works as a remote synth, but not as a Braille display, nor does it work with ActiveSync. I'm sure it's something with my PC because I connected the BN to another PC which is almost identical, and everything works fine. Any thoughts, anyone? I think I'll have to play around with settings there, but the only thing I can't get working is the remote synthesizer. I even reinstalled the jaws drivers, but it wouldn't work. Any suggestions/?
