Here is what I was thinking. The word processor and book reader already have the following choices in their menus: create, open, emboss, print, and set up. My thinking ran along the lines of adding things to these menus, like copy file, rename, erase, move, protection, translate, and so on. This would in no way affect the current functions of the word processor/book reader, one would still be able to jump into the application and open a file in the usual ten seconds. I wish I understand why this concept seemed so scary, I would think this would streamline the whole process beautifully. But, there are an awful lot of people on the planet who don't think like I do, thank goodness, so I'm curious to hear anyone's thoughts on this subject. PLEASE DON'T COMBINE BOOKRE.ad, WORDPROCESSOR, ETC.! The Keysoft Menu is concise and easy to learn. I can get into a book in about ten seconds! For some folks on this List, (like Richard) the current Keysoft Menu may seem tedious. However, for the "average" user, it is safe and fast. I've gone into the File Manger and erased, learned the space on a CF card, to name a few tasks, and find it so much easier than using Windows and a PC. (Deliver me!)
