Rhonda,

That was good and clear! <SMILE>

If you have to fill in a WEP address, how many figures should it be and
do you need to write these in Grade 2 or 1, with or without spaces? I
need to do a new setup and know a WEP number is involved so thought I'd
check it out and have less hastle! Thanks.

Subject: [Braillenote] Wireless Connectivity

Hi Jim and List:

I am assuming you are using the BT keyboard. So, that will be
the instructions I will use.

First of all, you need to set up both sides of the connection.
>From Main Menu, press E, S, D, A. You'll see "add a service".
Press Enter. You'll see "entry list?" Press Enter. At the
"name" prompt, use a name like your isp or whatever you want. At
the "service user name" prompt, just use the first part of your
email address, up to the "at". Press Enter. Next, enter your
password. Press Enter. Next, enter your name, and press Enter.
At the "email user name" prompt, type in the whole email address.
Press Enter. Enter your pop and smtp server information. I
would imagine your authentication would be set to "yes". That's
all of the information you should need there, so go back to Main
Menu.

>From the Main Menu, press Options. Make sure your wireless card
is in. Press C for connectivity. Press W. You'll be asked if
your wireless card is on. Press Y for yes. Press the spacebar,
and go down to "scan for a network." Press the spacebar once,
and a connection should be offered. Press Enter. You can fill
in the entry name, just use your name, or whatever you wish to
use. As long as that information, and the SSID is filled in, you
can go back to main menu. If you want a secure connection, then
you'd need to fill in the WEP address. Those numbers would be on
your router, I believe, and usually starts out with two zeros.

Hope this will help.

Kind regards,
Rhonda Clark
