Sue, the slot for the SD card is right next to where the battery
charger plugs in. Once you feel the back of the mPower and read the
description in the manual, you'll find it.

I have a hodgepodge of brands of the cards and they all work. In efforts to
save, I usually buy whatever is on sale at Best Buy or COMP-US.
The 512's hold a lot of files.So, depending on what I'm usingit for, I
sometimes get smaller ones.
