I love it too. The POI's that have the phone numbers and addresses rock
too, especially in 3.3.

Hi All,

I'm still getting used to the GPS on my PK, but it sure is a good thing
to have. Among other things, I also like to use it to let me know when
I'm getting close to my stop on the bus. Comes in quite handy that way,
especially if the driver isn't calling the stops and the trip is taking
a lot longer than usual. However, if I get a driver that is calling the
stops, then I very often turn off the GPS and use my PK for other
things, such as using my cell phone to download some email to read on my
way to or from work, or maybe just reading or composing other documents.
So, either way, I've got something to keep me busy to and from my trip.
And, being able to do it all on a very small device using the Braille
display with speech turned off makes it just that much nicer.

Hi all,

Well, if you think of all the negative things about it...I was able to
direct someone to my cousin's house in the dark once. I am able to walk
confidently to the store and the bus stop. No, it's not a mobility aid,
it's an orientation aid. Yes, it may not be accurate in all situations,
but hey, it's better than not having it. Oh, and did I mention that it
has helped me when riding the bus to get off at the right stop since the
bus drivers around here still haven't gotten it through their heads
they're supposed to call out stops. I wonder what would happen it they
were told they'd be fired if they didn't call out stops?
