Steve, I don't have the answers to your questions, but I do think you have to put the wep in using upper case, chord u chord u. Wonder if you tried that if it might see the thing.

Keysoft 6.11 is installed on my Braillenote bt. The tech who installed the router turned on WEP and gave me the key, which I entered into the connection configuration. Using the reconnection to an existing configuration option results in finding the network and prompting me for Network place. Space bar at that point gets me a scan entire network prompt. Hitting enter there gets me a domain prompt and then a server prompt, perhaps in the reverse order. Asking for help at that point gets me info about navigating the pertinent Keysoft menu but does not tell me how to respond to the domain or server prompts. From the Chapter 13 documentation I think I understand the passages about domains and servers. But was I supposed to identify them on the PC as part of the network setup before trying access with the bn bt? I love the way Chapter 13 begins by saying that it assumes a basic knowledge of networking. But I don't have that knowledge; and so I would be even more charmed if the documentation for Keysoft told me where I could read what I need to know before using Chapter 13. Any ideas? On my Windows 98 pc, where and how to I set up domain and server designations, if that's what I need to do? The braillnote is sensing, and is probably connected to, the pc via the router. But I can't so far get past the domain or server prompts. What is the next step. My ignorance, it seems, is boundless as the sea. So thanks for helping steer this particular wave toward shore. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
