Hi Jim, this is interesting because many of us, myself included, are using
the recording facility for audio blogging and getting excellent results.
Wihtout hearing what you're experiencing it's hard for me to know whether

Hi Folks:
The recording quality on the mPower sure could use improvement. In all my
years of using audio, I've never seen an instance were a 1.5DB gain makes
the difference as to whether or not your recording is legible or not. Even
at a sampling rate of 22.05 MHZ and a bit depth of 16, the quality of the
recording as rendered by the internal mike is far less than what it should
be.
Don't get me wrong, the mPower is a great device, but it's not because of
it's recording capabilities that's for sure.
