It can be done if you have a computer, but it certainly won't work
wonderfully. You would have to dialup with a modem in the computer. The
computer would run a proxy server, which is a program for sharing a
connection through that computer. Running a proxy server usually causes
some things not to work, but exactly what won't work is hard to predict.
You would either put a wireless card in that computer to connect directly
to it with your braille note, or you would purchase a router, which would
connect to the computer and provide wireless to the braille note. I'm
afraid that would introduce even more connection issues. If you really
want to do it I'd connect directly to the computer running the proxy server
and not attempt to use a router.
My husband and I tried to share a dialup connection with a proxy server
running on my computer for about half a year. It was pretty frustrating
dispite the fact that both of us are complete computer geeks and were
constantly trying to set it up better, so that both computers would be able
to use all the Internet protocols we needed and wanted. I never tried such
a thing with a braille note, which is less configurable.

Hi Jeff!
I have a question I have been asking for a long time but never really got
a clear cut answer on.
At our home, we have dialup. Right now, the price is right for what we
have.
However, I would like to go wireless if and when I get my mPower.
I would do this more for the convenience than for the speed at this
point, so I will still be using dialup.
Is there a way to go wireless with a dialup and how is it done?
thanks for the help
Richard

Hello Stacey:
My router is a Linksys WRT54g and I purchased one of them at Radio shack
and
the other at circuit city. I think my Mom may have gotten hers at
OfficeMax.
Linksys makes a really solid and accessible product and their customer
service is excellent.
