Yes, a microdrive will work fine in a regular CF card reader. I got mine at:
www.compuplus.com It's a Hitachi 6GB model, but they have 2 and 4 GB for cheaper. I will point out that a microdrive is slower accessing files than a CF card, so there's a trade off.
