Yep, this also worked for me.

Yep, that is what does it for me for the PK as well. The folks at Cingular
did give me a modem initialization string and, although it works just fine
for the PAC Mate, I just never could get it to work with the PK, thus the
longer way around. Also, I might add that, to use the isp.cingular access
point, I have one of their data plans, and not their media net plan. Well,
I have a media net plan, too; but, according to the Cingular terms and
conditions for it,

http://www.cingular.com/media/media_legal

that plan, which uses the wap.cingular access point, is just meant for the
internet on the phone itself, or so it appears with their reference to
tethering in their terms and conditions.

I have a regular BN and not a PK, so I don't know if this will help, but
I've been able to use the GPRS with Cingular and the 6620 and the BN.

In the connection configurations, my user name is [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(note it's all in caps). The password is CINGULAR1 again all in caps. The
number to dial out is *99***1# which for those with punctuation off is star
99 star star star 1 pound. To get this to work, I had to go into (let's
see if I can remember) settings, connections, GPRS, and access points, and
set ISP.CINGULAR as my access point.

I still want to learn how to get mail and web stuff with the phone itself,
but I think I need to upgrade Talks before I can do that. But perhaps this
info will help someone with Cingular be able to get it going with their BN
or PK and GPRS.
