Could I get information on this unit and if it can run java, what version
etc?
In regards to ocusource:
Could it run tcConference software? Well that depends on what version of
java it is running and what resources are available.
If I can get details I can submit it to the developer and see if there is
any options. I don't promise anything, but I will see if:

1. it can be done under the current setup
2. what might need to be done if it is possible
3. if development needs to be done - then it would depend on the market for
this development.

Subject: [Braillenote] What are the limits here?

Hello list,

We've heard a great deal about the streaming audio on the new M-power! All
of this is certainly impressive and the ability to play MP3 and wav files
is certainly going to be a plus! We will have much to look forward
to.! ACB radio with my old Arkenclone computer I'm using with Windows 98
is a piece of cake to hear and it still is one of the easiest streams to
get on the web which is wonderful! It never cuts out now that I have DSL
here. What about some of the harder streams to get as WSM Radio out of
Nashville! If one goes to one of the sites which bring many radio stations
together, does that enable the M-power to receive streams which couldn't
otherwise be obtained if one were to go directly to WSM as an
example? Someone asked about XM Radio where I think one has to download
some kind of patch or something for that MP3 stream to work. I have never
got that site or WSM for that matter to work once they tightened up their
requirements. Someone touched on this earlier but no answer came forth
about harder to get streams. Perhaps if something is downloaded which is
external software, this won't work with the BN family of products unless
one records an MP3 file somehow which could go back to the m-power.

The one thing I haven't heard much about is net meeting places as Acusource
where net meetings take place. Should software need to be downloaded, this
probably makes such sites off limits to the m-power. Are there any sites
where one could simply come in and participate without downloading extra
software? Imagine Skype is out as well! I'm not reall versed with this so
if someone could come up with their thoughts on this especially someone
experienced with the M-power, I'd appreciate it! How do the other
notetakers fair here? Please write me off list on my last question! With
the built in microphone, I'd think a net meeting would be an ideal activity
for the m-power if not now, later on!

Thanks much!

Jim
