Thanks Diane. Oh, but 400? Mine definitely starts to get sluggish, maybe just a bit with over 110, but definitely noticeable with over 150 messages. But, although I always empty the trash and free up data space after, I haven't tried the rest of your methods. But, I certainly will. Thanks again. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Diane Kelker" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, July 28, 2005 3:43 AM Subject: Re: [Braillenote] MY routine EMAIL MAINTAINANCE USING THE PK
Hi, Vicki and all, One day when the PK was moving very slowly between messages, I randomly experimented with various resets simply because I didn't know what else to try. Since the 1-2-3 reset significantly speeded up the reading process, I added it to my maintenance routine. I have downloaded, read, and efficiently dispatched four hundred messages with no problems. Rarely, however, at peek internet traffic times, I'VE been forced to cancel and restart the download with as few as twenty messages on the server. Technically speaking, I honestly believe the entire computing process depends on whether the cyber gods have made their daily run to STARBUCKS!
