I'd just transplant. I mean there is nothing wrong with the old
displays.

Hi Jim,

Congratulations to you and Dar for your M-Power. Why do you like the
Braille display better than the old BN.

If this has been covered earlier, I apologize. But, since you all
received yours, my interested was peaked.

Subject: [Braillenote] Got My M-power Today

Hello all,

My new M-power came in this afternoon around 4 PM. All appears to be
okay for the most part. I was able to get the ACB Radio Stream as well
as another stream from a radio station in my state. The audio from the
stream is very good! The braille display is very nice! I too think the
speech is clearer and may sound more full and clear through headphones.
Both Dar and I think the M Power is lighter. It didn't take long for me
to set up my wireless connection. I had to delete the wireless
configuration and recreate it again. My EMAIL worked first try! It is
truly fast! I'm going to leave a bunch of mail on the server to see how
long it will take to download a hundred or more messages. It is truly
fast!

Sometimes the speech will studder if something is going on while the BN
is speaking prompts. It almost sounds like a poor digital signal! I'm
very pleased over all!

The only thing that doesn't work is the record feature. I tried
recording from the default settings which should work nicely with my
voice. The recording sounds as if I'm speaking through wax paper, one
can't understand anything and the recording is weak! Unless I need to do
a serious reset, I don't know what can be done to get the record feature
to work properly in my unit. I'm very happy otherwise with my M-power.
Both Dar and I are very impressed with the braille display.

Jim Aldrich
