Hi, Sue. There is no charge for downloading, either with verizon as long as you aren't set up to use their national access plan. I hear that takes software, anyway<grin>. When I did this, I was using an LG vx4400. I now have an LG vx8100, but they won't have a serial cable for it until September. It is a pretty new phone. Also, I haen't tried this with the MPower. I am a bit concerned because with the classic bn, you could slow down the serial port. With the MPower, it is up at 115200. However, the downloads can only proceed at 14400. I assume that the phone and MPower will negotiate this, but I haven't had a way to test it yet.
I do hope that it works.

Paul,

What type of phone are you using? I have varizon, and the BN running 6.11,
and I have a cable which connects to the phone, and to the serial port. I
set it to haze compatiable, and just have it call the earthlink number, and
there's no charge for downloading.
