The key is to be in the actual list of folders. If you are at the prompt "folder?" and try to execute the command, either with space with 5-6 on the BT, or right arrow on the QT, the BN will do nothing. You need to navigate into the list of folders, then try to go one layer deeper. I'll illustrate an example of this below. I want to listen to a playlist of a Beatles album, which is located on my external hard drive. I follow these steps: 1. Open the media center. 2. Type m to go into the media player. 3. Press backspace to go to the list of drives. 4. Space down until I see "hard disk", and press enter. 5. This takes me to a "folder?" prompt. Press space until I see a folder called "Sarah". (I know, very original, Grin.) 6. Press right arrow, (space with dots 5-6 on a BT), and the display will show "list of folders". 7. Press space until I see a folder called "Music". 8. Press right arrow, (space with dots 5-6 on a BT), and the display will show "list of folders". 9. Press space until I see a folder called "Beatles". 10. Press right arrow, (space with dots 5-6 on a BT), and the display will show "list of folders". 11. Press space until I see a folder called "Rubber Soul". 13. Press enter. This will select the "Rubber Soul" folder and ask me which file I would like to play. 14. Press space until I see the file I want to play, and press enter. I hope these directions help things make at least a little more sense. I agree, it's nonstandard and takes some getting used to, but it's very doable. It's not at all like walking on one's hands, I'll have to try that someday. <Grin> Sarah -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Peter Wolfe Sent: Friday, January 13, 2006 4:26 PM To: 'Braillenote list' Subject: [Braillenote] Folders Hello to all, I have a brief question. My question about folders. I try to open a set of subfolders but every time I use t cord it will go back to the drive list. I also go to the media center and it does the same thing. It is so frustrating to try to find the subfolders or files under my huge folders. I will appreciate any help you can regarding these matters.
