Hi Jonathan.
Is the exchange between the machines going to free? Would it just cost us the Shipping and Handling to send it to California?
Asking these questions for my fiancee who owns one of the older machines.

Hi Sherry, The transplant process should begin on 1 October 2005. I'm going
to talk about this on Main Menu later today, but we want to implement a
system that sees customers without their units for as short a time as
possible. So we'll be running a kind of booking system. You'll be advised
when to send your unit in. We'll do the transplant and send you a new
BrailleNote mPower back.

Hi Jonathan,

First, let me say congratulations to all of Human Ware for this product.
It
sounds so wonderful and will really take the Braille note into the next
generation. My brain is whirling from all the possibilities this will
bring
for work and home use, and for being able to handle both more smoothly. I
used to do quite a bit of work for my job at home and used to put
everything
on floppy disks to take files back and forth from home PC to work PC. With
the new m-power, it seems that things could be done so smoothly with the
USB, the recording feature and all the rest. The improvement in memory and
the faster processor would make it a pleasure to use the BN for email and
internet, instead of a chore and something I swear at under my breath all
too often when traveling. not that i wasn't glad to be able to do it at
all, but when you're used to a fast PC the slowness and other associated
problems were frustrating. So, I'm thrilled about this product and have
been passing along your announcement to friends who aren't on lists like
this.

About trading in. Is this available now, and what is the process exactly?
I am trying to figure out a way to justify it to my rehab people, and I'd
like to know how the process would work, so I can give them all the info,
once I am ready to make my request.

Congratulations again! This is so exciting.

Sherry
