Hi Dean. In the manual, it advises against doing a service reset because
damage could be done to the unit which would render it unusable. I have
reluctantly performed a service reset after my battery has gone completely
flat to get my machine working again. My question is, what should I be
careful of when doing a service reset to avoid damaging my new braille note
mpower? Is there a right way or a wrong way of performing this kind of
reset? I just don't want to screw anything up. Thanks.

NoteMPower

Hello Kathy,

Perform a service reset (record with reset). Insert the card after this
process has completed and the problem should be resolved.

Subject: [Braillenote] Wifi card not being recognized on Braille Note MPower

Hi, all! Okay, wo I wanted to do some browsing on the Internet using my
Braille NOte MPoer. I put in the wifi card I'd bought from Sendero Group.
I'd used this card three days ago and the unit worked splendidly. When I
put it in today, I got a message saying the card was not recognized. I
turned off the unit and took the card out, or did I take out the card first,
I don't recall. All I know is that even with the card out, I get the card
is not recognized message, and the unit is totally locked up. I tried a
simple reset, to no avail. Which resets should I try next (please let me
know how to do each one, because I don't remember them by name). And, does
anyone have any idea why my unit is not recognizing this new card which it
knew so happily and intimately just a few days ago? Was it just a one-night
stand? Lol. Help!

Kathy

  Subject: [Braillenote] hotels and email

  hi,

I'm going to be at a hotel starting tomorrow. I'm still using dial up and
have looked up the access numbers. But I always forget how to add the 9
for
dialing an outside line from within a hotel. i go through this every
single
time I use my BN at a hotel! i can't ever find it in the manual either.
Could someone please send me the directions to add the 9 to the dial up
number, with a pause after the 9? Hopefully, that makes sense. I'm using
a
BN BT keysoft version 5, I think, but I might reinstall 5.1 today before i
go. can't remember which version is more stable for email and don't want
to
crash my unit like the last time.

  thanks.

  Sherry
