Mary Ellen. Did you try a j k l or 4 5 6 reset? Sometimes that makes active sync work.

Actually my computer arrived just after the mpower and I can't get active sync to work no matter what.
Now I have a maestro which works perfectly.

Hi Paul,

The weird thing is that I can add a port, but the program picks the com port number. If I do that, it shows up in the combo box of possible ports, but there simply doesn't seem to be a way to select a port to be added or changed in the Belkin software.

Very strange and very frustrating. The other thing would be to try to get activesync to see this com18, but I haven't been able to figure out a way to do that either. It sees com 1 3 and 4 and that seems to be it as far as serial ports go.

Sure wish I knew what was up with all the port assignments between com4 and com18. There must be a couple of logical assignments in there somewhere, but I can't find any of them showing up anywhere in the system. But, there's got to be a way to get this MPower's bluetooth to work with this
pc.

Is that justification for a new computer? <grin>

Yes. See if you can delete that port and set it as com four or something.
Sometimes, there is an add button and a delete or remove button so you can
then reassign it.

Will it allow you to change the port 18 designation to say com 2 in your
bluetooth settings?

Hi anyone,

Okay, think I got bluetooth installed and am ready to set up for connecting
the MPower using activesync. But first, one important question.

The com port showing as the bluetooth comport is com18. You're supposed to
select the desired bluetooth comport in activesync, connection settings.
But,
the only ports listed are com1 through 4. Also, I can't seem to add a
comport in bluetooth lower than com18.

Do I just let activesync on the pc search for a connection or what?

Thanks,

Don
