HI, Rose

Not BN related strictly but factual correction. Half the world went off
daylight saving and the other half went on. Don't forget there is a
Southern Hemisphere too.

I don't have the same problem but a different one on two Braille notes
running 6.11 and the problem has persisted since about the summer of 2002.
If I set an alarm more often than not I cannot make it shut up with the
usual commands. If the unit is off and I press dots 1-4 it keeps on
bleeping at me, if it is on and I press the backspace and enter it continues
and, I don't get the options menu to even read the alarm. The silly thing
keeps on yammering at me every five minutes for at least ten times and, the
last time this happened even the resets, any of them did not clear up the
problem.

I don't even bother to set alarms on the Braille note any longer, except
when I was on vacation, last May and that one would not shut up either, we
finally put the Braille note in the suitcase under clothes and locked it in
so it would not disturb the neighbors.

This was an intermittent problem, would happen maybe one in ten times until
probably 5.0. I tried with 6.11 and had to bury the note in my desk drawer
after I used it to alert me ten minutes before an office meeting. Even the
4,5,6 reset did not stop it.

Each upgrade from about 3.0 or whatever one was out in the summer of 2002 I
have tried this and each time I have problems, seems odd to me that it
should happen on both units. Recently, when the world went back off
daylight savings time my 18-cell started beeping at about one in the morning
and I tried everything, including all three resets and it continued to yell
at us. I did not have anything in my planner regarding daylight saving time
since we don't do it in Arizona so why this happened is an enigma to me and
why only on the one too. I guess they are haunted?

It could be worse, I just don't use the feature much now, especially on my
office BN.

Subject: [Braillenote] planner

Hello List,
I was subscribed to this list a while back, but chose to unsubscribe for a
few months, but now I am back.

I have a problem with my planner and I am hoping that someone may be able to
help so that I don't have to send my unit back for the third time in as many
months.

the problem I am having, is this:
I schedule an appointment and select it to alert me with the alarm and
everything goes off just fine. If I have to do reset of any kind before an
appointment is scheduled to sound with the alarm, it will not go off. this
is annoying, because I have missed several appointments that were rather
important. When I try to run the maintenance repair, it will ask me if I
want to back up the current appointments I say both yes or no, and it comes
back and says that it cannot be completed due to their not being enough
memory on the flash disk. I have also deleted the keyplan folder and all of
its contents, and then performed a reset, and I still have the same results
with the planner. If anyone has come across this problem, or has some
suggestions as how to fix this, I would very much appreciate it. thank you,
