You know, this is interesting.
I never take my BN out of the case. Part of the reset button is covered by the case.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm always copying stuff from e-Mail so always have the tools handy! (smile)

Let's just say, each of us needs to do what works for us.

I've been using a finger tip to perform resets for as long as I've owned a BrailleNote. I just laugh, nicely of course, when my friends with BN's in need of a reset go scrambling around for a stylus or some other pointy object to make this happen, when all they need is a finger. <Friendly Grin>

I never use any of the objects list below, I just use my finger.
I pres my finger tip right at the circular indentation and press and that's it.

One day I was riding the bus and had to do a resent but I had nothing to press the resent button with.
So in frustration, I just used my pointer finger and it work.

Hope this helps.

janel,
You don't want a sharp object to reset. A dull object will do just as
well. Using sharp objects can and will cause additional problems down the
road.
A pen or a stylus will do and they're not sharp. even a bent paper clip
will do.

Hi Robert,
My unit does this all of the time. You just have to do a regular reset by pushing a sharp object into the reset hole. Try again, you should be able to download them then. If that does not work, try the 123 reset.
Hope this helps,
Janel

Hello List,
I am having a problem downloading e-mail on the braillenote, and I was wondering if anyone could help. When I connect, it says I have 33 e-mail, and starts downloading, a second or two later, it says:
"Exception violation reading e-mail, error 31300904.
I have a braille keyboard.
Thanks for any help.
Robert
