Hi Peggy, there is no speed advantage to going with Bluetooth, but it is a more robust way to connect because of infra-red's directionality. If you get the infra-red ports out of alignment, there is a chance the two devices will lose touch with one another. However, if you have that one under control, then that's great and you may not find any real benefits. I must say though that I do like being able to access the Internet without even having to take the phone out of my pocket.
