Jim has a card that is doing the same thing,so he is using the card he got for me.
Mine works fine.
You might have to get a new card.
I know he will do this as soon as he can.
We tried this same card on my unit as well as on his Braille note, but the same thing happens with the mPower.
Wishing you the best.

Subject: [Braillenote] Hello, and an mPower question

Hi!
I've just gotten a BrailleNote mPower, and I do love it! But I'm having a problem, and I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered it, or has a suggestion of how to fix it?

In a nutshell, I can't stay online. I can get there, sometimes. I can download email okay, sometimes. Other times, it won't connect. Same with the web. I can be happily browsing away, hit a link, and it cannot find server. I'm using the Ethernet network card recommended in the Users Guide, connected to a hub with an RJ45 cable. I'm in the UK, and my ISP is Onetel. I can't think of any other relavant info, but I'll provide it if you ask. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Rachael

Subject: re: [Braillenote] Pk and M power?

Hi Will and All,

Well I have the PK and am quite happy with it. Its small size makes it very handy for traveling and storing and the like.

As for the features, well, right off the top of my head, I can't think of a lot that the PK has that the mPower doesn't. Well, didn't either Dean or Jonathan say that the mPower doesn't have the ability to store large email attachments on the storage card, as that is not needed with the much larger size of the flash disk of the mPower?

Now, as for features that the mPower has that the PK does not, well, seeing as the mPower is meant to be the kind of power PDA and the PK kind of meant to be used in conjunction with a PC, I can readily think of several things it has that the PK does not. The mPower has a much larger flash disk, can stream audio content such as from ACB Radio, can record audio (although I believe the PK is supposed to be able to do this at some point), has two USB host ports in addition to the client port so the mPower can be used for ActiveSync like the PK but also can work with the USB hard drives and thumb drives and the like, one can hook the mPower up to a printer and print documents right from the mPower, the mPower has a slot to accommodate sd cards, the mPower still has the slot for the PCMCIA cards, the mPower has a 56k dial-up modem built in, and the mPower has an infrared port that can provide another option for using ActiveSync or using cell phones to connect to the internet or receive em
ail.

Subject: [Braillenote] Pk and M power?

hi

I know the braille note PK has eighteen cell display and is smaller than the m power, but is there a real difference between which product to purchase?
By reading the features, it seems as though they can both perform roughly
the same sort of tasks
which is better in terms of feature set in peoples opinion?
regards, will
