Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for asking, I've been curious about this. I had no trouble when I
completely cleaned off my flash disk and restored from a backup. The problem
occurred when I tried to restore only the contents of the Keymail folder on the
flash disk. The BN put all the files from the backed up folder into the root
directory of the flash disk, and not into the Keymail folder. Maybe I didn't
know what I was doing? Can't imagine that! [Grin]

Hi Sarah, can you expand further on why you've found it's not a good idea
to use the restore function? As someone who has to work with changing
versions of KeySoft on a regular basis, backup and restore are my friends,
so I'd be keen to hear where you're finding issues.

Hi Sarai,

I have found that it's a good idea not to use the restore function. I use
the copy file option in the file manager instead, and always have better
results. In this case I would just copy the file called "connection
configurations.cdb", found in the keylist folder on the flash disk.

Hi guys,
I've been working all day on this and am stumped. I'm working with a guy
who has a BN 32 QT. We know his flash disk is corrupted and he keeps
loosing info left and right. He's getting an m power but for now he's in
trouble. This time he's lost his manual and his e mail is all messed up.
So we re added his records and now his internet connection says no
carrier. I'm about to have him restore his back up so he can get on the
internet, but for a temporary fix we need to get his e mail working and
I'm going to have him reinstall the .exe version of the manual from
humanware's site. So any advice for a temp fix? I'm more familiar with a
BT but at the rate this guy's going, I'll have the QT commands
memorized. LOL
