Hi Rhonda
Glad I wasn't dreaming. As a new user, I thought I might be missing
something and thought I'd ask. It would be helpful, then, if a general
search using space with F such as in the Planner could be done in the
Address Book. Strange, though, that Notes is there as a choice yet you
can't search with that field.

Yes, now I definitely see what you mean, and you are correct. Seems
like you should be able to search that information.

Hi Rhonda
Yes, that's all good. I have no problem entering and retrieving text
in
the Notes field. My question was when searching with text entered in
the Notes field for searching the database. For example, if you enter
a
name or part of a name with or without wild cards in the last name or
first name fields, it will give you the records that contain that
information. But it won't search if you only enter text in the Notes
field even though you have note information in various records. It
always says No Records Found, even though you enter an exact word you
know is in Notes.
My husband says you can't search Notes in Outlook either, but I wonder
why Notes is available for the Look Up search. Am I making sense?

Hi Jean: When you find the persons name you want, go to the bottom
of
the file. It will say "end of list". If you're using a BN, press
the
Backspace to see "notes", and press Enter. If you're using a VN, up
arrow one. Press Enter. If you're adding notes, and have a BN,
press
Backspace C, and go to the notes field, and press enter. Write in
your information. If you're using a VN, press Ctrl K and press
enter.
Write in your information.

Subject: [Braillenote] address book question
I'm entering records into the Address book on my mPower, and I have
a
question about the Notes field. I enter data into this field and
save
the record. Then when I choose the Look Up and enter text into the
Notes field, it doesn't find what I know is there. How do you do a
search of information using the Notes as the search criteria?
