Really? that's what it says on the Senderogroup site. If I have GPS version
3.3 (which is what I received when I bought it in July before I got the PK
in August) that I need to contact them if I have a keysoft version earlier
than 6.1. So I assumed 3.3 works best with keysoft 6.1. I figured I'd wait
for 6.1 to be shipped to me, but I guess I can call Sendero and ask, if it
will still work okay with keysoft 6.01.

The braillenote pk doesn't work with 6.1. The gps has to be the the
version for the pk to work for you.

I'm waiting for 6.1, not 6.01, as I have already downloaded that version.
I bought the Braillenote GPS in the beginning of July, and the latest
version (3.3) says it runs best with keysoft 6.1 or higher.

Wasn't there some sort of known bug in the PK with either the speech or
Braille? The problem happens so seldom with my PK that I just do a
reset
and don't pay much attention to it. Now, as for the 6.01 for the PK,
you
can just go ahead and download that, as it is a free maintenance release
download from the
HumanWare site.

I have only had my PK for a few weeks and already the speech has cut out
at
least once a day. I toggle through the speech on, speech on request, and
speech off options, but even if the display says speech on, the speech
really isn't. Just today I realized that when the speech cuts off like
this,
the mp3 sound doesn't work either. So I tried turning off braille. the
braille will come back on, but not the speech, or I won't have braille
or
speech. The only way I can get the sound to work is to reset. Even
though my
PK was just purchased, it came with keysoft 6.0. Is this a common
problem,
or should I be worried? Does 6.1 fix this bug? BTW Humanware says I'm
supposed to get 6.1 in the mail, but they couldn't give me any date, so
god
knows when I will get it. And also when I try to link to a page, or go
to it
manually by typing in the address, I'll get the "page cannot be
displayed"
message. but I know nothing's wrong with the page since it comes up
fine on
my PC. I figured I'd test the link by going to the page on my pc, then
trying it on the PK. sorry for being so long winded
