Hello there. I've always thought signal strength is greater if the card is in the back slot because--well, the antenna are positioned differently. I don't know how to explain it, though. It just seems to work for me. Maybe you have an exceptional router or something. Speaking of routers, I have found it necessary occasionally fiddle around with the wireless settings so that my iBook can access the router and the Internet. I've only managed to do with with the BrailleNote. Not with my Windows PC that uses JAWS, but only with my BrailleNote. It's weird, and yet I'm proud. No more having to ask Eric to interrupt whatever he's doing so he can reset it so my other computer will connect. Jane Jane
