Terri!
You are a person after my own heart.
I just downloaded 3 food items from qvc and these are things I buy often and I have my produce and dairy and meat delivered from a concern here in Arizona and I simply go up with the mpower and look at what's on sale and call and order. Interestingly for a lot of you You can navigate by things other than links such as frames etc. I find that this makes shopping so easy that it is almost adictive.

Dear KC,

I'm not really that smart. I learn what I need to know to do the things I want and that's it. I hate MS Word and I use it as little as possible. Ido as much of my editing on the BrailleNote.

I hope to be able to emboss with my MP soon. Right now, I must use either the PC or the BN classic.

Training is a crucial issue. (Terri, you must be pretty shart to pick up a lot on your own. Some folks just get too frustrated, or may be new to blindness and easily discouraged.) I agree that it would be wonderful to use my BN for everything. The only thing I don't do with it is stuff that has to be printed or brailled in hard copy. (I download books and shop for groceries with it.) I'm especially thankful for the "no virus" bit, because updating your atni-virus progrma when using dial-up can be a pain in the butt!

I've had no training. I just picked up things as I went along from other
people. I'm sure most people know more than I.

If I could, I'd use my BN for everything.

Hi all,

Terri, some people have never been trained properly to use the open or
the save as dialog in Windows. That isn't her fault.

Mary Ellen, the Save As dialog has several options in it. You can,
as Terri suggests type the drive name in the edit field for your book,
but you do not have to do that. If you simply press shift-tab, you
will land in a list box which is the list of all the files in your My
Documents folder. Use the backspace to exit to your desktop, then
choose My Computer, arrow down to whatever you call your flash drive,
press enter, then tab to the edit field, type in your file name, and
voila!
