I would open the document in MS word, select all the text, and copy it to the clipboard. Then I would open a blank notepad document and paste the clipboard into that. Save that document as a text file and you should be good to go. If you You don't even have to do that. With the Word document open, press F12. that will bring up the save as dialog box. Proceed through the steps to save the document and select text from the save as type field. Then you'll have a text copy of that document wherever you saved it. sherry have Duxbury you could translate the document into Braille on the PC, or you could use the BN to do this through the file manager. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Evelyn Weckerly Sent: Tuesday, October 11, 2005 9:39 AM To: Braillenote List Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Word documents Hi, Sarah, I tend to use my flash cards for back-up more than anything. At the moment the document is on my PC and will be transferred to a flash card. I actually want a copy stripped of all formatting because all I need is the words; furthermore, I want to make a grade 2 Braille file out of it for faster reading because I will be using my BN during practice and performance. Thanks. Cordially, Evelyn At 10:12 AM 10/11/05, you wrote: >Why not just read it on the flash card itself?
