Yes, I like the setup of the PK also. I had used the old thumb keys on an 
older model that I had borrowed and I had the same problem as you. I did 
learn to work around it, but I do like the PK better.

The navigation keys have a customizable setting. I have never worked with
them but I would like the up and down keys all to be on one side and the
display width to be on the other side.
I personally hate those darned thumb keys because I bump up against them
with my stomach and lock the Braille Note up. I only use the Braille Display
to spot check things or do very quick editing. I like the setup of the pk
much better.
