Hi Katie,

I purchased the Western Digital Transport external hard drive. It's an 80
GB drive, and I bought it based on the positive comments from others on this
list. I also have a 120 GB drive that is powered by AC and is in an
enclosure. My plan is to back up my system, as well as individual files on
both drives. The fact that this drive is USB powered and therefore requires
no cabling is very appealing. I still will use flash cards, and probably SD
cards for individual files, but wish to use these drives for major backups.
As you may know, I have a jump drive, but it won't work with the BN, so
rather than buying another jump drive, I decided to spring for this external
hard drive instead.
Best Regards,

Les

Les:

What specifically did you buy from amazon? I understand it's a hard drive,
but what are the specifics?

Please let us know how it works out for you... I'm looking into purchasing
a hard drive myself, but just a bit concerned about their stability as
compared to jump drives, CF and SD cards and everything. But,
unfortunately, hard drives are the only devices with such a vast storage
amount...

Katie
