Terri and others, I would encourage anyone to contact HumanWare if your recordings aren't satisfactory. The more of us who come forward with a problem, the more HumanWare will try to do quality control on this issue. The company won't know that it has a problem if we just say the recordings are lousy. I don't believe that's the case, because I heard Jonathan's tutorial.

Teri,

Did your recording have distortion in it, could you understand yourself? My wife's unit is fine but mine has a problem and yours may too. I was just curious and wanted a more descriptive detail on how the recording sounded. If it is truly awful, it may need to go in for repair unless you don't care about that feature.

I was very unimpressed with the recording feature. The internal mike sounds awful! Also, when I tried to make a test recording, I kept getting the message, "cannot open test file." Sometimes I _could review a test file, but most of the time I couldn't.
