Hi Sandi,

If you go into the options Menu, then choose Braille display options by 
pressing b there's a choice I think might help.  The second thing in the 
list is:  "display mode".  You can either press r for reading, or press the 
outer most thumb-keys until it shows reading.

Now comes the fun part.  if you want your new paragraphs shown as the $p 
like they are being, press e-chord.  if not move down to the option where it 
says "show new lines in reading mode as"  If you want the $p, this should be 
set tt "linear braille format".  Pressing h-chord at this point will show 
you all the options here.  Personally, i like mine shown with a 2 space 
indent when I'm just going to be reading something.  That is chosen by 
pressing the letter b.  The BrailleNote says "indent 2 cells".
