Hi Sarai

One more question. You said You can also sync your
contacts and planner with the one in Microsoft outlook. Those options
are controled in the BN under sync options in the utilities menu of the
BN.

As I just wanted to see those options, I went looking and can't find them. There's Connect to active synchronization, Back up or restore files, pronounciation dictionary, date and time set, application program, (which I don't know what that's for,) and miscellaneous options which I also looked in. I didn't see any sync options from the BN end other than choosing whether it's through USB, serial, etc.

Partnerships with active sync and your BN, allows you to work on files
on one machine and if you want to update your copy on another machine
such as your computer, it will update the info. Make sure the files
option is checked under settings in Active sync. You can also sync your
contacts and planner with the one in Microsoft outlook. Those options
are controled in the BN under sync options in the utilities menu of the BN. When you get your wireless card, you can view files on your computer from your BN and copy files to and from the BN and the computer via your
wireless card. This is creating a network and its simple. I've used my
net work to read files from my computer on my BN and I've even backed up my microdrive to my computer via my network. Its faster then Active Sync IMO. The only thing you need checked under settings under active sync is
files and you need to turn off the audamatic converter thing which is
under rules I think that's where it is, just control tab and you should
see your other tabs under the settings menu. I can work you through it
via telephone, Skype or Messenger. You'll get it, I promise. We'll have
you running smoothly.

Hi Sarai

Well, that explains how that and other folders got there then. But I'd
still like to get rid of anything I don't need. Smile.

I followed the User Guide and it suggested going ahead and establishing
the partnership through USB, etc., and that later I could then use the
same partnership once I get a wireless card for the PC for a wireless
Internet connection.

Am I understanding this connection business? It makes my head spin a
bit. Just kidding. But it is a learning curve.

Okay. Voila! This is no doubt old hat for most of you, but I got my
BN

connected to my PC through the USB cable and actually transferred a
text

file book onto the BN.

But I got a bit confused initially and I'm not sure if it tried to
sinc
some files and/or folders before I figured out Active Sinc. I don't
want to sinc anything, just transfer files.

So, on the Keysoft drive on the BN, is there a Documents and Settings
folder? I see it there now but don't remember seeing it before.

Kind of a dumb question, I know.
