Jean,

Although SD cards come formatted, it's been my experience that they
don't always work on equipment without a reformat.

If you use the Utilities choice of preparing that card for use with the
BN, you shouldn't go wrong (unless the card really is incompatible, of
course)!

Oh, dumb me. I never thought about using Active Sinc to put the file
there in the first place. So, format the card, put the file on it, and
run the install process. Makes sense.

By the way, does an SD card have to be formatted like that before using
it as a general storage device?

No, Jean. You can copy files to the card directly using ActiveSync,
then go for the appropriate reset and upgrade.

These files will remain on the card until that "Reset and upgrade"
happens.

Well, no, because in the instructions it says you put the SD card in the

mPower and then run an ap on the mPower and all data will be erased from

the card. So, you coudn't then put the file on the card first.

Well, a card reader for the PC is another great asset, but you could
always transfer to your SD card in the BN using ActiveSync or even via a
CF card.

Stupid question, but I'd need a card reader, too, wouldn't I? To get
the file from the PC to the SD card, is that done through Windows
Explorer with the SD card in a card reader?
