Oh I didn't mean announce it to the entire world. I meant something like
lets say I was interested in a Braille note and I called Jonathan and asked
him a lot of questions about one. After his wonderful convincing I decided
to get one and was going to order. Now lets say he knew the Braille Note M
power was about to come out in about a month, now being the nice guy that he
is, he wouldn't want me paying $6000 for a Braille Note when I could get the
M power and have it for a longer time. So lets say he'd drop some hints to
wait for a little while and lets just say I was perceptive enough to catch
that something was up and I waited. Well a month later, we get the wonderful
announcement and I spend the $6000 on a new M power and save my sanity and
pocketbook at the same time.
Now of course, this is a hypothetical situation and my comments aren't meant
as a slap at how Humanware does its business. I'm just commenting.

Remember what happened when Humanware announce the release of 6.1 and the PK
months in advance? There were way more hassles than I believe they
bargained for, and that was just on this list! I think they did it right
this time.

You'd think they could drop hints to new custamers to wait to buy the latest
one.

O so true I have already been burned by that. When I bought mine it
wasn't to long until they had the new mother board it cost nearly 1500
In Canadian dollars and I didn't have it at the time.

Yeah but not everyone can upgrade it for financial reasons.

Yes but if you upgrade the BN. You end up with the mpower.

that all of the features won't be available because of hard ware
constraints. What I don't get is why the hype and big upgrade to the BN
if
the m power was coming out, especially sense the M power is the next
generation so to speak. The regular BN will eventually stop being
developed
and be outdated.

Hi, Kathy and list: The Humanware folks claim that they'll continue to
produce upgrades for the older line of BN's. It is interesting that
this
new upgrade is still using numbers beginning with 6, but the PK # 6.0,
and
so, I guess a new upgrade for the older BrailleNotes could be something
like
6.12 or something along that line. When Matthew was in Pittsburgh, he
assured us that there would be future upgrades for our units. Hope this

helps. Bob and Maxy-wax
