Hi, I also had the same problem and asked the list to give some suggestions. I tried everything, but the only thing that seemed to work was, I had to call sendero for the new POI files for the GPS 3.3. It came in two CD's. I'm assuming that the new version doesn't recognize the old factory POI's, that is why it keeps saying "cannot open...". this is only a guess, mind you. But like I said, my GPS only started working once I downloaded the new POI's. Hope that helps.
