Hi James

I haven't spoken with Humanware Canada directly, but they don't list any cards or accessories on their site. That's as far as I've gotten so far, but it seems that might be the next step. It really shouldn't be this hard. But thanks for the endorcement of the card you like.

I did send a note to the dealer from where I got the mPower asking for help and outlining the problems with locating a suitable card.

Hi Jean,

Have you by chance checked with Humanware Canada? They may have found a card which can be used. I'd say the Sandisk Wi fi card is the best choice thus far for the M-power. I hope it will somehow be available for you soon in Canada.

As for finding a solution, we'll see how it goes once I receive the infrared adapter.

Hi Tiffany

Well, thanks for trying, but when I followed the first link, it said this product is only available to U.S. customers. That counts me out.

When I tried the second link for the Linksys card, it told me that this product has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is not available, and that the page is no longer valid.

So, again, Humanware, why are you not providing the complete specs so we can at least attempt to buy cards that are actually on the market?

I have a hard time swallowing the idea that a brand new product has such a limited selection of wireless cards to choose from, and that most of them don't seem to be readily available anyway. Yup, I'm pretty ticked. Maybe James and I should gripe off list. At least he's finding a solution.

Okay. This shouldn't be so hard. I've looked on five sites so far for
the Sandisk Connect 128Mb CF wifi card.

I even looked on www.sandisk.com.

I see other Sandisk wifi cards but all of them specify SD, not CF.

Based on the types of cards I see, it seems that once again the CF part of this whole thing is on its way out. Lots and lots of SD, but even on
the manufacturer site I can't find it. I know it's out there, but
where. I can't find a single Canadian site that has this card, and I
couldn't find the Ambicom card on a Canadian site either.

The Sandisk manufacturer site is US based, but I figured if anyone had
it, it would be them.

Honestly, I want to deal face-to-face with someone in a store who can
help me understand all the technical stuff. I'm not a techie, and
sorting through all the specs on cards and routers on the Internet is
not what I have time for. Yet, Humanware says we have such a narrow
list to choose from.

Why are our choices so darned limited with this? It would help a whole lot if the manual gave the specs of what exactly is needed in terms of making a card compatible. If I had at least that much to go on, I would
maybe, just maybe take a chance on a card that looked compatible and
give it a go. But I'm not about to spend money on a shot in the dark
with nothing to go on. The manual needs a technical support section
where specifications are given.

No, I'm not happy. I've wasted way too much time trying to find the
recommended cards. And, no, I don't want to buy from a U.S. site.

Okay. I'm not happy today and I guess it shows. It's a great unit, but
I find this side of it extremely frustrating.

Jean
