You can also buy *puts a plug in here* games from Malinche Entertaminment. I don't remember the cost for them, since I have been given the games so far as presents or freebies, but you can go here when you get the KS7 upgrade
http://www.malinche.net

I am going to email the man--I'm on his email list, I am sure of it-- and make sure he knows that blind people will be able to play his games with their BrailleNotes. It'll look good for hin, and besides, they *really are good
!*

Yes this is absolutely correct. Interactive fiction is very much alive as a
look at ifarchive.org will show.

You can't (legally) download Infocom games, as Activision still has them
copyrighted. Even though the last time they put them on a CD was in 1996
that stopped being printed two years later, they still hold that copyright
like a bunch of lamprys. That said, I hear through the underground grape
vine that *is* the interweb that Activision will be coming out with an
Infocom collection in the near future; on the other hand, well, I'll
believe
it when I see it.

As for other Inform (or "zcode") games, there is an absolutely huge
reposatory of freeware games that you'll now be able to play at
http://mirror.ifarchive.org. Just select the mirror that works best for
you,
then go to games, then zcode. You're rolling.

That is, when keysoft 7 is released, naturally. :)

I've looked for those Infocom games on the net and I don't think they're
available anymore. IF I'm wrong, would someone please help me acquire
them,
as I'd *love* to play them on my MPower. Most of the sites which have
come
up in Google are really out of date.

cheers

Hey Jonathan.

I assune you're talking about the games you can get from infocom or
Malinche Entertainment, right? The ones that are z8 or z5. I mean
that have tho se extensions. I am relaly looking forward to this
part--so much so that I know I will have to discipline myself to only
play so much or I won't get a darned thing done.

Checked ont he price of an SMA, and will be ordering a new one once I
download KS7. :)
