Peggy, I don't know how much this will help, but I wonder if this could be something Earthlink is doing? I haven't experienced this particular occurrence myself, but I have heard of others who have had Earthlink inexplicably hold on to some of their messages. I don't have a "Junk" folder, so I can't do any tests to check this out, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
