Leslie,
when you buy the new laptop, be sure to ask about a card reader being 
included! this will be helpful for use with your braillenote PK! You can 
put files on a card and read with braillenote.
I bought a laptop two weeks ago, but it is old! It has parallel, serial 
ports, one USB port and one PS2 port and one monitor port. Your new laptop 
will not have parallel or serial port. It will have USB! good luck!
