Hi Terry, I hesitated to weigh in on this in case I would only muddy already murky waters, but I'm curious. What commands for the book reader weren't you able to find? Most of them are in the index under the letter r, as in "read". I'm not sure what you're looking for, but a command wouldn't be listed under "b" unless it started with that letter. This might be one of those examples of the axiom, "You have to no what it is you're looking for and its exact name before you can find it."

I like to have my hands on the BN and be able to look a command up from another source, sutch as the hand book. Terry I had intended to braille the command listing, that is why I asked you and Sarah to braille it for me. There sure was a big misunderstanding. Take a look at ch15 and see if you find anything on the book reader. I sure was surprised, one of the most used items on the BN. Its in alphabetical order. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Powers, Terry (NIH/OD/DEAS) Sent: Wednesday, September 21, 2005 3:37 PM To: 'Braillenote List' Subject: RE: [Braillenote] FW: mpower manual Sarai; Back, about a week ago, we were talking about me looking for an alphabetical listing of commands. someone mentioned that I would find it in chapter 17 of the m-power manual. I had a text copy so after some problems I checked it out. someone is leading me astray. It was right around the time Ann wrote the nice e-mail explaining that it is easier for me to look up something under its letter. I explained it is easier to look up delete under D than figure out if delete is an edit, copy, read, ... comand. When Sarah was working with me on the book reader, I went through chapter 15 at least 5 times looking for the commands on the book reader. I never found them. There is hardly any difference than what I have in the hand book. I do agree that it must have more commands, such as the recording feature. I had trouble getting access to ch17 because Jaws would only display 16 lines in the attatchment highlite area. Mary had to split it into 2 e-mails so I could get to the rest of the manual. Guess I got my hopes up to high. Guess I will have to make my own listing as I learn something new. If not my computer is going to be more and more cluttered with BN imfo. It also tells where in the manual you can read more about that command. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Powers, Terry (NIH/OD/DEAS) Sent: Wednesday, September 21, 2005 1:36 PM To: 'Braillenote List' Subject: RE: [Braillenote] FW: mpower manual Sarai; What did you mean by, the commands are right after the other though? Is there another listing farther on in the chapter? Its broken in to sections. To my understanding, in the m-power manual, in chapter 17 there is an alphabetical listing of commands. I looked at this command list and they seam to be broken down into related subjects, like in chapter 15 in the hand book. Where is this listing? Are there two listings in this chapter?
