Hi Mark,
I'm not Dean, but I can answer your question. I believe you are using a PK, so you can press space with h at any time to find out how much of the file has downloaded thus far.
 Hope this helps.
David

Hello list,

Up till now, you have been limited when downloading in KeyWeb, to the
amount
of free space on the KeySoft system disk. As a number of you have already
and correctly mentioned, content gets downloaded to the KeySoft system
disk
initially and then copied to the desired location. This is due to the way
in which the Internet Explorer engine functions.

However, in KeySoft 7, we have managed to work around this, the only limit now being the amount of free disk space on the drive to which the file is
being copied.

Hello again,

I would say the BN works as it did earlier but one thing has to be
considered. The book must go through that Keysoft system disk before it
reaches the flash disk or flash card. I downloaded the books yesterday
into my flash disk but then moved them to a folder on my compact flash
card. I usually do all my fiddling around on the flash disk before
whatever I download is moved to where I want it to be.

IS it not possible in newer than 5.1 versions to just have the book dumped to your card or whatever? I never even bother with my flash disk anymore.
It
only holds my ee-mail and some small files but all books and things of
real
value I always just save to my card and if downloading with the bn which
I
don't do much of with a pc, I think I always just download right to my cf card. Is this no longer possible with win 4.2? I don't mind and am trying
to
work with rehab since I am job searching to get upgrades to my bn and gps,
just wondered though.

Hi Bob,

Before downloading a particularly large book, try doing a 4 5 6 reset.
This
will, in one swell foop, empty your temp folder. The dat files are tiny,
they aren't large enough to eat up your disk space by themselves.

Hi, Jim and List: There is a web site, called www.blackmask.com. It ahas
ablind kinds of neat boos. They're in HTML. The way I've managed to
download them, so they won't have all of those codes, is to hit enter on
the
"read this book in HTML" link. Then, when I've downloaded the book, I use
my block commands to go to the beginning and end of the book, and then
copy
it to the clipboard. Now, this usually works, except that, on longer
books,
(some of which I really want to read), it won't download all the way, and locks up the BN. It's because there not enough space on the KeySoft disk. As I understand it, before you save a book to a different folder or drive, it goes to the Temp folder, on the KeySoft disk. Well you can never quite
empty that Temp folder, in 6.11. That's the trouble I'm having. Thanks
for
your help, and thanks for suggesting the PCMCIA adapter. I asked Walmart
and RadioShack, and neither had one. VadioShack, or at least the one I
was
in, didn't hav
 e a clue
as to what I wanted. What can I say? God bless. Bob and Maxy-wax
