Sue, there are 9 pin serial plugs to 25 pin parallel plugs on the same wire. I should state that better nine pin to 25 pin serial to parallel cables. I have a few of them lying around. but the configurations are confusing like 9 pin female to 25 pin female cables, 9 pin to 25 pin male to male, and on and on. so one has to be very specific as to what one needs.
