Yes, it should be at least mentioned in the manual, but it isn't.

Hi Jean

I see, As I run a classic, I am unable to give you any further advice.
Obviously there has been a new function added to the MPower's support
information mode. I am really sorry that I can't give you any more help.

If anyone could comment on this new support information mode function , I
too would be interested to hear what it does.

Regards
Debbie

But when I press g while in support mode, it prompts me to make sure
the
adapter is plugged in for this test. I also would like to know what
it
is for.

Hi Estin

It is quite safe to press g, though you would be wasting your time.
It
has
no effect what so ever. I just tried it out on my unit.

I hope I have reassured you,
Debbie

Try it and see what happens. It won't be anything bad.

No, it's a joke. There's a difference.
Thank you, Lysander, you got it!
Estin, it was just meant to be funny, not mean.
Laugh, and the world laughs with you, cry, and you get tears and
mucus on
your BrailleNote!

You're BrailleNote will explode, flying into little tiny pieces
that you
will never find. Try it and see what happens.
