Oh Ok Well maybe I will have to look at this. Could I use a microdrive on
my classic bn in the pcmcia slot?

No, a microdrive is either a pcmcia or compact flash device that
contains a miniature hard drive. What you are talking about is a thumb
drive, a flash drive, or a jump drive.
These devices are different in that they do not usually have the
capacity that a microdrive has, nor do they have any moving parts,
whereas a microdrive does.

Ok Just out of cirousity, but aren't microdrives usb? I have a micro
drive
and do not have an mpower so can not use it on my bn but can use it on
both
my desktop and laptop. Again I just want to sure on what you are
talking
about.

So does it happen with both, Peggy? Interesting they're both Toshiba
and Kingston because when we purchased ours we were told that there was
some deal where you got whichever they sent and it would only be the
packing that was different - so perhaps Kingston is Toshiba in different
packing, or vice versa!

Like you, I love CF cards because they're firm enough and large enough
to grip. I have a half SD one in my phone and am not too ambitious with
that one but guess, if I want to upgrade the BN (as I do) I'll be forced
to use SD - and will probably love it!

Carol, I have both a Toshiba and a Kingston micro drive; my GPS
stuff is on the Kingston and music is on the Toshiba. If I could
just remember to always insert the micro drive before switching on, I
could use it. But forgetting and getting locked up and then having
to battle reset loops isn't fun, and it just might be easier to get
additional compact flash and/or SD cards. I've never used or even
seen an SD card or jump drive, but I love cf cards.

Peggy
