Yes that is the whole idea. Most days I could go a whole day with out any trouble because I don't have high demand and of course the batteries last longer than that. However there are situations where I might just want more. For example if I traveled to a different country for extremely long flights or where I might not have a converter for the local power. Now that brings up another question why isn't the adapter multi voltage?

I have another notetaker which shall remain nameless and it is heavier to carry. Since I use mine for GPS I sure don't need anything heavier smile. Of course its still far lighter than my laptop its on right away and I don't have to wait for it to boot so its an all around useful device. Of course there is another solution and that would be a portable battery pack. For those of us willing to carry it they could make it last a lot longer. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of VIRGIE UNDERWOOD Sent: Tuesday, September 13, 2005 12:36 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Suggestions and questions Terry, I don't have an answer for that one. However, I still think it is a good idea. It does take up a lot less room to mount them inside. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of VIRGIE UNDERWOOD Sent: Tuesday, September 13, 2005 12:11 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Suggestions and questions Terry, I think a detachable battery pack would be just the berries. Great idea! So what would be needed would be a detachable pack like in laptops. I actually like the detachable idea better than a battery case where you just put in the replacement cells. I suspect they don't have that because they don't want people putting in the wrong type for example none rechargeable in a recharging system. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of VIRGIE UNDERWOOD Sent: Tuesday, September 13, 2005 11:50 AM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Suggestions and questions Hi Terry, I was not talking so much about having to replace your batter, I was talking about having an extra battery to put in when your regular battery needed charging. Maybe it does not make sense to you but I think it would be a good option to have. I would be willing to pay for that privelege. I suspect though that there is another reason why they are not removable. I don't think they are making any money doing it in fact I bet it is a pain. 95 per hour to have someone sit there and pull the units apart isn't cost effective at all. Since I have never opened the unit and looked inside I don't know however suspect that the redesign would cost more money course then we could all complain about that cost. I have had my units both of them for over three years and never replaced the batteries. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Isaac Obie Sent: Tuesday, September 13, 2005 11:05 AM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Suggestions and questions Virgie, Trust me. It won't be offered because it's a money issue! do you think these companies will willingly give up money? come on. they're out there to gouge you to death like an angry bull with a matador chasing after him! It's more than the battery issue that needs attention.
